Where it all began…

This wonderful historic building, constructed in 1927, was originally home to the Morris Leaf Lettuce Factory. With several greenhouses on the block, the factory used the cable car line on Youngs Blvd, to transport fresh produce to local grocers. Over the years, this charming property also housed an array of beloved businesses, including an IGA Corner Store, Zats Shoe Store, Diversity Coffee Shop, and Urban Kitchens (formerly Vintage Kitchens), among so many others.

CHI (chee) is an intentionally curated private event space in the heart of OKC, just minutes from the vibrant Plaza Arts District. Known for its eclectic art and furniture collection, CHI has been a hidden gem and local favorite for intimate gatherings since 2006. It combines a vibrant art gallery with a flexible event space, making it an ideal choice for private parties, corporate events, meetings, and intimate weddings. With an ever-evolving collection of art and decor, CHI provides a unique and engaging backdrop for every event. Above all, CHI has always been a safe and welcoming space for everyone, creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home.

Today, we proudly offer two versatile spaces on the lower level, available for individual rental (up to 50 guests) or combined for gatherings of up to 100 guests.
